What We Publish
How We Promote Our Authors and Publications
Cultural Futures Books
Our online eBook store, Cultural Futures Books, is our primary vehicle for making eBook publications available to the 626,000+ cultural practitioners who work in Canada's cultural sector, students studying cultural management, the arts and Canadian history in Canada.
Authors can expect their new book to be promoted as follows by Cultural Futures Books:
- Author page. Every author receives a dedicated author bio page that highlights all the books we sell (e.g. our Robert R. Janes author page).
- Author collections promotion. Authors with 3 or more books (even those not published by us) receive a 1 month Author Collection promotion. Authors publishing with Cultural Futures Publishing House receive Feature Author status on an ongoing basis (they are never taken off that list).
- Feature Book promotion. New works published by us receive the coveted Feature Book section on the home page of our ecommerce site for a minimum of 1 month; there are only 12 of these spaces available each year. Afterwards, they receive the Feature Book space on the New Arrivals page for 1 month. They also are placed in the Featured Books space leader on the category page they were published under.
- Book Club feature. Our editor holds a monthly online book club, providing opportunity for cultural practitioners to engage with thought leaders. In Canada, we are the only publishing house that hosts online events to connect the cultural workforce with thought leaders from Canada and around the world. Amazon, for example, does not host author events.
- Book Blog review. We will arrange for an authoritative cultural practitioner to write a 1,000+ word book review that will be published in our blog and be made available to the author, to art service organizations, and to other Canadian book blogs.
