The Future of Rural Culture Summit 2026
January 14, 2026 / virtual
The Future of Rual Culture Summit is our inaugural online gathering that brings together cultural practitioners, community leaders, and sector allies to explore how culture can help shape stronger, more connected rural communities. Rooted in the belief that cultural value is essential to place identity, social cohesion, and community well-being, the summit will focus on the unique challenges and opportunities facing rural, remote, and underrepresented communities across Canada.
Through a series of thoughtful conversations, we’ll examine the systemic barriers that limit cultural participation and sustainability in these contexts—and explore how we can work collaboratively to build a more equitable, responsive, and resilient cultural future. This summit is a space to listen, reflect, and imagine new approaches to cultural work that centre lived experience, local knowledge, and collective care.
Registration opens October 19. Click the link below to receive updates to our Summit program and registration details.
